Fall Push 2019: Send Judah First

This past Week I woke up with the phrase, Send Judah First on my mind

Send Judah First?  What does that mean?

That's the title one of my favorite Worship albums EVER: Send Judah First from Dr. Judith McCallister

Then I googled the phrase because I remembered a Bible Story where Judah was to go first in the battle.

Judges 20:18

And the children of Israel arose, and went up to the house of God, and asked counsel of God, and said, Which of us shall go up first to the battle against the children of Benjamin? And the LORD said, Judah shall go up first

Now the background to that story was that someone from the tribe of Benjamin committed an unspeakable crime against a woman and so the tribes declared war against the tribe of Benjamin...and the Benjaminites ended up being practically wiped out.

So what does this mean

Judah means Praise.

The way I have been instructed to fight my battles during this season is through Praise and worship.  Way back in May of 2018 I was told I wouldn't need to fight this battle.  I would just stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

Also in that Same story in 2 Chronicles, we remember how the army was led by the choir and by the time they got to the battle, the opponents were already dead.

Judges 20:21-24

21After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the LORD and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang:
“Give thanks to the LORD;
his faithful love endures forever!”

22At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 23The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. 24So when the army of Judah arrived at the lookout point in the wilderness, all they saw were dead bodies lying on the ground as far as they could see. Not a single one of the enemy had escaped.

I have remained firm that I will not win this battle by force, by might, by power, or in my own strength but by his spirit and my weapon will be my melody.

I have been called to help lead God's people in worship in this hour and in order to be able to do that I must win my own battle by praise and worship.  You cannot lead anybody in anything you haven't done yourself...and I believe God ALWAYS trains and prepares those whom he has called and chosen to minister to others.

So here we are.

But it's not just me though...

I don't believe I am the exception to this.  I believe that this will be a major theme at the house of Shiloh in Oakland which is known for prophetic worship.  I believe there are some unsavory things in our midst that are trying to hinder the word of the Lord and from the Spirit breaking out and I believe our worship is going to be what will drive them out.

I also believe that Praise and Worship is going to be vital for the Global Body of Christ.

These wackos really believe they need Donald Trump to safeguard their religion and he said as much on Twitter that no president has done as much for religion as he had.

I guess the magazine, “Christianity Today,” is looking for Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, or those of the socialist/communist bent, to guard their religion. How about Sleepy Joe? The fact is, no President has ever done what I have done for Evangelicals, or religion itself! (Source Twitter)
If you need Donald Trump to safeguard your religion then you ain't got much of a Savior!  My Bible tells me that The Gates of Hell shall not prevail against the church...(The REAL church established by Jesus Christ)

My point is that things are only going to get more wacko and confusing because the devil is the author of confusion and this next election is going to be NUTS.

So we will be doing more Praying, Praising, and Worshiping to combat all of the foolery.  We are going to really have to dig in our heels and be firm in our word or otherwise we will get caught up in this nonsense.

Countdown to 2020

This year has been such a win in so many ways.
  • Getting trained, prepared, and activated for Kingdom Service.
  • Financial Turnaround
  • Real Relationships with people who are pushing me out of my comfort zone and give me wise counsel
  • More new clients
  • Grown in my personal life where I did not charge ahead and end up looking like Boo Boo the Fool
There are still a few days left in 2019 and I don't believe that God is done.

Were there things that I thought would happen but failed to materialize?  Of course but I haven't lost hope because my faith has grown to the point of where I know that nothing ever turns out like you think it will and we've got to trust God and not go in our own understanding.

I just don't believe that all this crazy stuff happened just for it all to come to nothing. I've said this is a space in my life where only an act of God can turn it around.

He's got me right where he wants me.

SEND JUDAH FIRST!!

P.S. Listen to this Awesome song Send Judah First from the album of the same name
